Alaska Airlines has launched nonstop service between San Diego and Mexico City, their ninth destination from the United States to Mexico. Passengers can already currently fly from Los Angeles and San Francisco to the Mexican capital.

Alaska Airlines currently operates more than 100 flight a week between Mexico and California, to nine destinations, including Cancun, Ixtapa/Zihuantanejo, Loreto, Los Cabos, Manzanillo, Mazatl√°n, Puerto Vallarta and Guadalajara. Alaska began flying to Mexico in 1988.

“We are excited to have this important connection between San Diego and Mexico City, and we are grateful to Alaska Airlines for being such a terrific air service partner, ” said Kim Becker, president/CEO of San Diego International Airport. “With this flight, SAN is proud to offer nonstop service to 10 international markets.”

The San Diego to Mexico City flight will depart San Diego daily at 7:05 a.m. and arrive in Mexico City at 12:50 p.m. It will depart Mexico City at 7:35 p.m. and arrive in San Diego at 9:37 p.m.
