United Airlines will be launching a new flight from Washington, D.C. to Tel Aviv, Israel, beginning in May 2019.

Residents in 9 states will need a passport for all flights starting in October of 2018

United Airlines has been flying to Israel for 20 years, and offers “more nonstop service between the United States and Tel Aviv than any other U.S. airline,” according to the airline. The newest flight will leave Washington Dulles International Airport and land at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport, and will be United’s fourth flight from the United States to Israel.

United Airlines currently operates twice-daily service between New York/Newark and Tel Aviv and daily nonstop service between San Francisco and Tel Aviv.

“As we begin celebrating 20 years of service in Israel, we want to thank our customers and employees who have helped make United the top U.S. airline serving Israel,” said Patrick Quayle, United’s vice president of International Network. “We thank the Israeli government for its ongoing support and partnership. We look forward to continuing to serve Israel with this new service for our customers traveling between the U.S. capital and one of the most advanced science and technology sectors in the world.”
